Last Dollar Grant Guidelines
Below are the guidelines for I KNOW I CAN, an Ohio non-profit
corporation, (hereinafter known as the Corporation) Last Dollar
grant program. The Corporation does not discriminate on the
basis of sex, race, creed, color, national origin, physical
handicap, sexual orientation, or age. These guidelines may
be amended from time to time by the I KNOW I CAN Board of
Trustees. Nothing herein shall be deemed to guarantee that
every qualified Columbus City School District student will
receive financial aid to finance his or her post-secondary

on, receiving Last Dollar grants as the primary source for
their post-secondary education.

July 1 each year. Applicants wishing funding for any part
of the school year must meet this deadline.
3. Applicants must apply for all financial aid from federal,

8. All grants shall be paid directly to the post-secondary
institution.
9. Student recipients of Last Dollar grants must volunteer
at least four hours of community service time per year, and
must meet once a year with a staff person from the Corporation

they have received grants.
10. All decisions of the Corporation with respect to financial
aid grants are final and not subject to additional review
or appeal.
