Letters of Recommendation
Most college and scholarship applications will ask you to obtain letters of recommendation. Look to a teacher, adult or counselor you have a positive relationship with, and ask them if they will write the letter for you. When asking for letters of recommendation, make sure you give the writer at least 1 week to complete them. Waiting until the last minute may not leave enough time for the person you want to finish the letter. Also, when someone has provided you with a letter of recommendation, write them a thank you note expressing your appreciation for their time and help.
