PLAN/PSAT
PLANThe PLAN is a pre-ACT assessment administered to 10th graders. It is used as a way of guaging students current academic development, and acts as a predictor of success for students on the ACT in 11th and 12th grade. Visit the PLAN Site for more information on this test and how to prepare for it. Pre-SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT)The PSAT and NMSQT are the same test. It is taken in 11th grade as a way of gaining hands on practice for the SAT. The PSAT provides colleges with your contact information so they can start sending you information about their campuses. The PSAT also qualifies students for the National Merit Scholarship (NMS). Receiving the NMS provides students with money for college and gives them access to several career and college planning tools.
