I Know I Can Founders' Scholarship

Am I Eligible?

• 3.0 Cumulative GPA
• Graduating Senior from CCS High School
• Minimum attendance rate of 93% throughout high school
• Continuous enrollment in CCS district in 9th - 12th grades
• Passes all 5 parts of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) by January 31, 2010
• Have taken the ACT and/or SAT
• Completed 120 required hours for the internship credit
• Submitted the FAFSA prior to the Founders' Scholarship Application Deadline
• Have demonstrated financial need for college

How do I apply?

• Download the Founders' Scholarship Application and complete all parts
• Note: In order to fill out the application electronically, you MUST have Adobe Reader installed on your computer.  If you do not have Adobe Reader, visit www.adobe.com to download it for Free.
  
• Along with your application, you will need to submit:
• Official High School Transcript
  
• A copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR)
• Two letters of recommendation (one from your high school principal or counselor and one from a non-family member)
• Recommendation forms can either be printed, completed and mailed in or found on our web site for electronic submission. Direct your recommendors to this site for copies of the recommendation forms.
  
• 250-550 word personal statement (see application for details)
• 250-500 word essay (see application for details)
• Submit all of these pieces by end of day, April 1, 2010
  
• Submit your application one of the following ways:

  *PLEASE NOTE: If e-mailing the application as an attachment, follow these instructions:
• Complete the application electronically
  
• Re-save it to your computer so the name contains your First Initial, Last Name and "FoundersApp" (for example: jsmithfoundersapp.pdf)
• Attach the app with the new name to an e-mail message addressed to scholarship@iknowican.org
  

**NOTE: The IKIC Founders' Scholarship application does not take the place of the I Know I Can Grant application.  You must submit applications for each award if you wish to be considered for both, but you are only eligible to receive one of the awards.
