Act Now.
Give Forever.
While 77% of Americans donate to nonprofit organizations during our
lifetime, less than 8% of us remember to include a gift in our will
or estate plan. And less than 3% of all wills settled in Franklin
County contain a charitable provision. Imagine the positive impact
if each of us made a planned gift of any size to our favorite nonprofit.
Ways You Can Make a Lasting Contribution.
- Leave a specific
dollar amount or a percentage of the assets in your will. Assets include,
but aren't limited to: stocks, bonds, CD's, real estate, vehicles,
art and jewelry. Such gifts often provide tax savings.
- Name I KNOW
I CAN as the beneficiary of your IRA or pension plan or to a new or
existing life insurance policy.
- Honor deserving friends and remember
loved ones with memorial gifts.
- Encourage family and friends to
remember I KNOW I CAN or their favorite non-profit in their wills.
- There are several more sophisticated ways of giving, including
but not limited to, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead
trusts, etc. that we would be happy to discuss with you.
