COMPASS: Central Ohio Mapping Program for Achieving Sustainable Success

The COMPASS program is a partnership between I Know I Can, Columbus State Community College and the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio that provides academic and career support to Columbus residents who completed their high school education between 2019 and 2024. Eligible individuals can choose between an academic path or career path.* Each participant in the academic path will have an academic and career coach who will assist them throughout their time at Columbus State. Additionally, program participants will receive funding to cover tuition and enrollment fees at Columbus State, making college a reality at no cost!

COMPASS aims to:

  1. Re-engage high school completers who stopped out or never enrolled in postsecondary education or training.
  2. Encourage college persistence for individuals impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  3. Improve college and career readiness and milestone completion while removing financial barriers to enrollment.

  2. Currently live at an address within Columbus, Ohio (proof of residency is required).
  3. Not actively enrolled at Columbus State Community College (individuals transferring in from another institution are eligible as long as criteria 1 & 2 are met; returning CSCC students must have been inactive for one autumn and spring cycle for consideration).
