That's our promise to all Columbus City Schools students.  I Know I Can believes that every Columbus City Schools student deserves the opportunity to achieve their dream of earning a college education.  And we're here to help.

From elementary school through college, I Know I Can encourages students to dream big and work hard.  As one of the largest and most successful college access programs in the country, we provide the inspiration to ignite ambition, the advice to excel and the financial support and guidance to enable students to earn a college degree.


Blueprint:College Middle School

A 3-part series of college planning workshops designed specifically for Columbus City Schools 6th, 7th and 8th parents.  Join us to begin building your student's college blueprint, along with gaining the knowledge and tools you need to help your student get ready for, get into and get through college.  Middle School is a critical time to begin your college planning - start with I Know I Can at Blueprint:College!

IKIC Mentorship Program

I Know I Can is entering the second year of it's Mentorship Program.  This program aims to connect current Columbus City Schools college students with professional mentors from the Greater Columbus community.  Participation in the I Know I Can Mentorship Program is a requirement for all first-year I Know I Can Grant participants.  To learn more about the mentorship program and to sign up as a mentee or mentor for the upcoming school year, please click here


Be an inspiration to CCS 2nd Graders!

Inspire them to dream big and work hard this year by volunteering to read the I Know I Can childrens book to a CCS 2nd grade classroom during this year's National Right to Read Week (May 11-15). Click Here to learn more and register.

CCAD'S Discovery Club

If you're in grades 7-9 and want to find out more about studying art and design, CCAD's Discovery Club is for you.  Explore your creative side in an exciting residential art program - and discover the many paths your artistic journey can take.  In just one week, you'll explore majors and career paths so you can make better high school course choices.  You'll also get a taste of what it's like to be a student at one of the country's best art and design colleges.


College PreView (Scholarships Available)

CCAD's College PreView program is designed for high school students considering a future in the visual arts, it will make your decision clear - and earn you three college credits.  We welcome all experience levels, whether you've participated in art classes for years or you're just getting started.

You'll have the chance to get hands on experience in any of our 9 majors while working in our amazing facilities.  Oh, you'll get the chance to do all of this while making lasting friends from across the country.

I Know I Can Grant

Applications for the 2015-16 I Know I Can Grant are now available!  The deadline to apply is FRIDAY, APRIL 24, 2015.  CCS seniors and current college students are encouraged to apply for the grant, which is worth $1,200 and can be renewed up to four times. Click here for more details and download your application!


Save Smart Financial Planning Sessions

If you have already opened a Save Smart savings account and have an account number, please Click Here to learn how you can complete the required Financial Planning course.  Students who plan to match for the Spring semester must have financial planning completed and savings goal deposited before December 31.


Save Smart & Save Smart Jr. IDA Programs

Save Smart is an IKIC program designed to help qualified Columbus City Schools students and graduates grow and leverage their college savings. A participant enrolls in the program by setting up an Individual Development Account (IDA) and is eligible to earn up to $4 for every $1 saved.  Register for an informational session by clicking here.

When:  July 29 - 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cost:  The program, lunch and transportation are FREE. Additionally, students can earn a stipend upon successful completion of the program
